Software Engineering Disciplinary Commons - Logisitics
Meeting Schedule
1 08/29/2009 - 9am to ~2:30pmTravel
Commons Participants make their own travel arrangements. For those travelling 'great' distances, this includes airfare, ground transportation (e.g., rental car), and (possibly) hotel. Paricipants will (almost certainly) fly into the St. Louis (airport code: STL), and rent a car. These expenses will be reimbursed (at cost) with receipts.
Commons Participants traveling 'lesser' distances (i.e., driving) will be reimbursed based on mileage.
Per diem rates apply for meals while the participants are traveling to/from the Commons. While in-state (IL), the per diem is $28. Out of state, it is $32 per day. On meeting days, lunch is provided in-state, so the food reimbursement is reduced for that day.
Reimbursement is not allowed for alcohol.
Meeting Location
Southern Illinois Univesity EdwardsvilleThe SIUE campus has "open parking" on Saturday and Sunday, which means you can park in any parking lot without a permit. See the referenced Google Map (above) for the location of Lot B (the visitor lot), which is easy walking from the Morris University Center (MUC). Though a permit is not required for weekend parking, you can still 'earn' a ticket by improperly parking in a handicaped slot, or otherwise ignoring ordinary parking convetions.
